The Clary Family Site
Welcome to my newly developed site. You may have linked here from my old site which was hosted on Geocities for many years. Unfortunately, those good folks managed to lose my files completely. Gone! Vanished! I am particularly disappointed that I will not be able to recreate the Texas P-38 portion of the site which showed the development of my fully faired P-38 Lightning recumbent bicycle. All those pictures were from a digital camera and due to a dumb move on my own, I had none of it backed up. I was able to recover some of the text from archived copies of the page on the web, so I have included that in this new site. The rest of the site consists of recollections and pictures from my 21 year career in the U.S. Air Force, a pictoral history of a trip to Thailand in 2001, a family album featuring my grandkids, and some other things I'm sure I haven't thought of yet. There will even be a section on a past member of the family--Henry the Gineua Pig (RIP).
The Texas P-38 Squadron -- this is the remnants of my my old site which describes my interest in recumbent cycling. Cycling has taken a back seat to golf in recent years but this still may be of some interest to those considering a recumbent bicycle.
My Air Force Career -- This contains a narrative giving an overview of my 21 years in the U.S. Air Force and includes some pictures taken in Germany, Thailand, and the U.K.
Thailand 2001 - Mainly pictures from my trip to consisting of scenes from my wife's rural village, a trip to some 12th century ruins, and my several golf outings.
The Family Album - This will eventually contain A LOT of family pictures. For now this link will take you to pictures of a celebration of my Dad's 75th birthday, and some pictures of Loy, Nigh, and Dome from Thailand in 1975.
Our Home in Thailand - These are photos of the house we are building in Thailand for our eventual retirement. It's located in a beautiful resort with great weather and surrounded by good golf courses. We're probably about 10 years away from actually moving to Thailand full time, but meanwhile my in-laws will have a great weekend escape! :-) UPDATED Aug 14 - More Pictures!!
My Golf Diary - A place where I keep notes on the rounds of golf I play.
1961 Golf Digest - Pictoral evidence of how the more things change, the more they stay the same. These are advertisements from the June 1961 version of Golf Digest.
Henry the Guinea Pig - The story of a dearly departed family pet.
Pictures of an Ugly Golf Swing - View at your own risk!!
White Christmas in Corpus Christi!! - We were treated to a Christmas Miracle for 2004--4.5 inches of snow! It had been something like 50 years since there was an inch of accumulation here, and 25 years since anything measureable. It started snowing Christmas Eve and Corpus residents were out all night playing in the stuff. The best thing about it, however, was tht now it's gone and I worked up a sweat at the driving range today and plan on playing 18 holes after work tomorrow. Click on the link for some pictures.
